One to one embodied coaching is a way to discover new perspectives and practical ways forward on a problem you have. It works by giving you the time and space to reflect on an issue, while offering insight-enabling questions and practices.
Embodied coaching treats the body as an integral part of who we are. This can open up vast untapped resources of sensitivity, intelligence and creativity through simple practices such as moving, tuning in to your body and exploring your physical experience with compassionnate support.
“Embodied coaching is a form of coaching that doesn’t ignore the fact that you have a body and that you can store a lot of memories and emotional responses in your physical form. Milla’s coaching helps you to bring your body and mind together in a way that brings awareness and change.”
– Jenni
How does it work?
Each session lasts for 50 minutes, on Zoom. We’d start by settling in and clarifying the topic. Then I would invite a mix of discussion and embodied practice in order to explore your issue together. Finally, we’d reflect on the session and any next steps.
I usually offer coaching in blocks of four or six sessions. You can also book one-off sessions if you prefer.
You may already know what issue you’d like to explore together. If not, you can always choose from the list below:
* Wheel of life review – what’s working well, and what needs some attention?
* Establishing my core values
* Moving from burnout to thriving in work or activism
* Setting clear boundaries and developing my high-quality no
* Making friends with procrastination
* Working creatively with conflict or anger
* Developing my meditation practice
“The embodied element of the coaching allowed me to connect with issues both emotionally and physically – and not just rationally. I particularly remember embodying the feeling of joy that cycling and feeling the wind against my face gives me – it is something that stayed with me for days after our session.
It gave me the impetus I needed to act and put things I had wanted to do for a while into practice – It helped me to ‘just get on and do it now” and stop putting things off.”
– Maria
